<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the skew is not sufficiently corrected even when the skew correction is controlled by the detection error of a skew detection means. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A fore end is aligned based on the first skew amount detected by a skew detection means, and the second skew amount of a first sheet with its fore end being aligned is detected and stored. In the conveyance control for executing the skew correction of the second sheet to be conveyed in an image forming process, the correction to the conveyance control is executed by using the stored second skew amount.
