<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection accuracy of new transmission and retransmission, and to use redundant version information and constellation rearrangement information (Xrv) changing in new transmission and retransmission for detection of new transmission and retransmission. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A base station compatible with an HSDPA method for informing a mobile station whether data are newly transmitted or retransmitted by an X<SB>nd</SB>includes: a detection means to detect that a condition where neither an ACK signal nor an NACK signal can not be received from the mobile station continues until next new data are transmitted after reporting the transmission of new data by the X<SB>nd</SB>; and a control part for executing control to transmit the next new data without changing the X<SB>nd</SB>in transmitting the next new data when carrying out detection.
