PURPOSE: A digital image processing apparatus, a controlling method of the same and a recording medium storing program to implement the method are provided to search a desirable image in a short time by letting the speed for changing a reproduced image vary depending on the duration speed of the input of a control signal. CONSTITUTION: A digital photographing device(100) includes a user input unit(150) and a detector(160). The user input unit inputs a control signal, and the control signal changes a current image to a previous or next image. A sensing unit senses the duration time of the input of the control signal. The reproduced image generating unit changes the reproduced image of the display unit based on the input of the control signal. According to the duration time, the reproduced image generating unit enables the speed for changing the reproduced image to vary.
