PURPOSE: A path establishment apparatus of the multi-channel mobile terminal and a control method thereof are provided to transmit and receive the voice or text data by performing a communication either through low frequency channel or high frequency channel. CONSTITUTION: A signal transceiver part(225) transmits and receives the low-frequency signal and high frequency signal. A sensitive level measuring unit(240) measures the sensitivity of the high frequency signal. If the sensitive measured value of the measuring unit is the designated value guaranteeing the communications quality or greater, the controller(280) outputs the high frequency channel maintenance control signal. If the high frequency channel maintenance control signal is inputted, the channel control unit(275) controls the signal transceiver unit, the high frequency channel is kept. If the data of the high frequency signal and low frequency is inputted through the signal transceiver unit, it mixes data of the high frequency signal and low frequency and data mixer(250).
