PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for repeater having monitoring device are provided to minimize the dissatisfaction of customer about the wireless communications service quality by possessively managing the wireless communication service quality information. CONSTITUTION: If the trouble information causing the poor quality of the wireless telecommunication generates, the fault indication unit(110) indicates the trouble information through the display device. A monitoring unit(140) watches the fault indication unit. The wire telephone is used to transmit the error information to the operator terminal of the remote site managing the premises type relay. The fault indication unit comprises F/L(Forward Link) alarm lamp(111), R/L(Rearward Link) alarm lamp(112) and a power source alarm lamp(113). In case the output signal of the forward link is unable to reach the normal value or exceeds, the F/L alarm lamp is indicated. In case the output signal of the reverse link is unable to reach the normal value or exceeds, the R/L alarm lamp is indicated. In case the electric power supply is interrupted in the premises type relay, the power source alarm lamp is indicated.
