A contact comprises strips 28, 30 having convex contact surfaces 26, 27 axially spaced and aligned of a terminal post 20. The post 20, of brass, and suitable for making a wrapped joint connection, has lateral extensions 24, abutting a housing 1 at 31 to prevent downward movement, and studs 25 welded to and extending through a steel spring 21, abutting the housing at 15 to prevent upward movement, and through part of a folded-over portion 22 of the contact strips 28, 30, of gold-plated phosphor-bronze. The upper end 29 of the strip 28 is located by a ridge 12. Alternatively, a spring (41) may be pressed out from a contact strip (42) which has flanges (55) gripping a terminal post (40). The housing 1 has a row of such contacts each contained in a cell 2 formed by walls 6 having mouths 5 to facilitate entry of a circuit board.
