摘要 PURPOSE: A device and a method for transmitting and receiving information using a fast feedback channel in a broadband wireless communication system are provided to increase an amount of information transmitted and received through the high speed feedback channel using a quasi-orthogonal signal sequence. CONSTITUTION: A generator(304) generates a quasi-orthogonal signal sequence through a fast feedback channel. A plurality of mappers(306-1,306-2,306-3) maps the quasi-orthogonal sequence to a plurality of bundles with different mapping patterns. A transmitter(310) transmits the quasi-orthogonal sequence mapped with the bundles. The quasi-orthogonal signal sequence corresponds to one among elements of the quasi-orthogonal signal sequence set designed fro obtaining a correlation value below a critical value. The mappers map the same quasi-orthogonal signal sequence to each bundle. The mappers arrange the orthogonal sub signal sequences comprising the quasi-orthogonal signal sequence to each bundle. The mappers map the quasi-orthogonal signal sequence to position one orthogonal sub signal sequence on a physically consecutive tones position.
