A motion vector prediction method for grasping information about direction to a reference picture from each peripheral block is provided to predict PMV(Prediction Motion Vector) of a block coded by using motion vector information of the peripheral block. One of first and second movement vectors is acquired among peripheral blocks of the current block positioned in the left side of the current block. It determines the first motion vector of the current block based on the first motion vector of peripheral blocks. It determines the second motion vector of the current block based on the second motion vector of peripheral blocks. The first motion vector of the current block and peripheral block and the second motion vectors have the respective same direction. |
