<p>PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display, and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to interrupt color filters from spreading toward a TFT(Thin Film Transistor) by installing an organic partition layer. CONSTITUTION: Thin film transistors(120) are formed on a first transparent substrate(100). An organic partition layer(140) is formed on the thin film transistors, having contact holes(145) exposing parts of the thin film transistors. Color filters(130) are formed adjacent to the thin film transistors on the first transparent substrate. Pixel electrodes(150) are formed to be partially overlapped with the organic partition layer, contacting with the thin film transistors through the contact holes. A common electrode is formed on a second transparent substrate(200) to face the pixel electrodes. Liquid crystal is interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate.</p> |
