PURPOSE: A catalyst convertor for purifying exhaust gas and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to increase heating efficiency about a catalyst carrier by increasing the contact area between a heater and the catalyst carrier. CONSTITUTION: A catalyst convertor for purifying exhaust gas comprises a heater(20), an inner side catalyst carrier(31), an outside catalyst carrier(32) and a housing(10). The heater comprises a winding part and current source terminals(15,16). A pair of current source terminals is expanded from the winding part. The inner side catalyst carrier is inserted into the inner circumferential part of a heater winding part. A plurality of hollow cells in which catalyst is coated on the surface is formed on the outside catalyst carrier in the longitudinal direction. The housing comprises an inlet port and an outlet port. The carrier assembly, in which the inner side and outside catalyst carrier are assembled in inside and outside of the heater winding part, is assembled in the housing. |
