PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for providing/receiving user interface using user interface directory capable of accessing the second server by providing user interface from the first server are provided to supply/receive a ui that client need for accessing a remote server. CONSTITUTION: A connection unit is requested from a client an UI(User Interface) that is needed to access the second server. An UI managing unit(620) comprises an UI selecting unit and UI generating unit. The UI selecting unit selects at least one among a plurality of UI templates based on the information about performance of the client. The UI generating unit creates the requested UI based on the selected UI template and/or the information about the second server received from the client.
