PURPOSE: A method and a system for setting a mode in a mobile communication terminal are provided to switch the state mode of a mobile communication terminal into a first state mode corresponding to the first key button through only key input. CONSTITUTION: A memory unit(110) stores a state mode for a mobile communication terminal by corresponding to each key button. As a first key button is inputted, a mode searcher(120) searches a first state mode corresponding to the first key button from a memory unit. A mode switching unit(130) switches a second state mode of the mobile communication terminal into the searched first state mode. The state mode includes the information for the output value of each device included in the mobile communication terminal, and the mode switching unit adjusts each device based on the output value included in the first state mode.
