PURPOSE: A structure of a master spindle for a machine tool is provided to prevent dusts and chips from inflowing into the master spindle. CONSTITUTION: A structure of a master spindle(10) for a machine tool comprises a helical axis(20), and a housing(30). A tool(T) is installed on a helical axis. The helical axis is connected to the housing with a screw. The master spindle transfers the driving force delivered from the machine tool. The cylindrical cap is formed on top of the helical axis. A gap is formed between the inner circumference of the cap and the outer circumference of the helical axis. An upper pipe body(31) is inserted on top of the housing.
