METHOD FOR SCREENING CHEMICALS INHIBITING A METASTASIS FUNCTION OF TM4SF5

PURPOSE: A method for screening an inhibitor is provided to screen a material which treats and prevents antagonism to tumor metastasis based on molecular mechanism relating to TM4S5 protein and integrin α2. CONSTITUTION: A method for screening an inhibitor of cancer metastasis comprises: a process of treating a candidate inhibitor to tumor cells which express TM4SF5(Four-Transmembrane L6 Superfamily member 5) protein; a process of controlling binding of TM4SF5 protein and integrin comparing to untreated group; and a process of selecting candidate as the inhibitor of cancer metastasis. The process is performed on a collagen I substrate or fibronectin substrate. The TM4SF5 protein is a polypeptide of sequence number 2.
