Subject: washing machine for cleaning the filling material of bio-towers in sludge-treating units. Constitution: a chamber having the form of a truncated cone set in a horizontal position in relationship to the axle uniting the centres of both bases, or the chamber rotating around a horizontal shaft via an electro-reducer, gears and a chain. The adjoining surface of the chamber is formed by metal mesh having analogously-dimensioned eyes. Water or other washing liquids are launched under pressure from the central rotation shaft at the interior of the chamber. The whole system is covered with plastic material or metal cover. The washing liquids are either concentrated into a special vat at the support base of the washing machine or collected, in whatever manner, into a related manhole for further treatment. Advantage: excellent cleaning of great quantities of filling materials, in short time. |
