PURPOSE: A device and a method for providing a call waiting service is provided to reduce incomplete call generated from users receiving a message a busy signal and give the status information of a subscriber requesting a telephone call. CONSTITUTION: When call connection is requested from a third terminal to a first terminal in a state where a call channel between the first and second terminals, a communication unit(110) receives calling state information of the first terminal. A service provider(120) provides advertisement from an advertisement server for a waiting time before the call with the first terminal according to the reception of busy status information.
