LIFE PREDICTION APPARATUS AND THE LIFE PREDICTION METHOD USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A life prediction apparatus and a life prediction method using the same are provided to estimate the lifespan of a secondary battery by comparing a measured time when the charge of the battery is reached to a certain level and a reference time. CONSTITUTION: A life time estimating method is charging a secondary battery firstly within operation range. The secondary battery is cut-off at a discharge point of a specific capacity of the secondary battery. The secondary battery is charged secondarily to a specific capacity of the secondary battery when the secondary battery is cut-off. And a time is measured until the charge current is reached to a certain level. A lifetime of battery is predicted through data mapping based on the measured time and a reference time.
