<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized light source device emitting bright illuminating light changeable in color. <P>SOLUTION: The light source device includes exciting light sources 10A, 10B and 10C, optical fibers 20A, 20B and 20C, and fluorescent substances 30A, 30B and 30C. The fluorescent substances 30A, 30B and 30C emit first, second and third fluorescent light respectively, as a result of being excited by exciting light emitted from the exciting light sources 10A, 10B and 10C, and guided by the optical fibers 20A, 20B and 20C, respectively. The fluorescent substances 30A, 30B and 30C are arranged side by side in the direction of light emission end so that the fluorescent substance 30B may be located closer to the light emission end than the fluorescent substance 30A, and the fluorescent substance 30C may be located closer to the light emission end than the fluorescent substance 30B. The fluorescent substance 30B has three through-holes 32, while the fluorescent substance 30C has three through-holes 34 and 36.
