PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-refill writing utensil which can be offered at low cost to a user by suppressing the cost increase of a component of a manipulator. SOLUTION: This multi-refill writing utensil is of the structure described below. A movable part 5 which is diametrically displaceable, is arranged in the axial center inside a barrel 2. The movable part 5 has a plurality of projecting strips 51 extending in the axial direction and a plurality of grooves 52, extending in the axial direction, which are formed between the adjacent projecting strips 51 and 51. A manipulator 8 at the rear end of a writing element 7 whose pen point is projected, is fitted to an engagement wall part 22b of the inner wall of the barrel 2. A removal protuberance 82 of the manipulator 8 at the rear end of the writing element 7 whose pen point is projected, displaces the movable part 5 diametrically by pressing action. When the manipulator 8 connected with the rear end of the other writing element 7 whose pen point is retracted, is slid forward, while the pen point is projected, the removal protuberance 82 of the manipulator 8 at the rear end of the other writing element 7, slides into contact with the rear end open edge of the groove 52, resulting in the displacement under pressure of the movable part 5 in the diametral direction and thereby, the consequent removal of the projecting state of the pen point.
