<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support of a protective body such as a guard fence, against an avalanche, a falling rock and the like, which facilitates the transportation and carrying-in of a support, and which can enhance workability on a job site involving excavation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The support includes a lower pipe 12 for being inserted into the ground, an outside pipe 13 having a lower portion inserted into the lower pipe 12, and an inside pipe 14 for being inserted into the outside pipe 13. The inside pipe 14 is provided above and below an upper end 22 of the lower pipe 12. Thus, since the support made of three members including the lower pipe 12, the outside pipe 13 and the inside pipe 14, can be assembled on the job site, the individual members becomes light and can be easily transported and carried in. In a double structure of the lower pipe 12 and the outside pipe 13, the inside pipe 14 is arranged on the upper end location of the low strength low pipe 12, securing its strength.
