PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission chain and a power transmission device that allow press-in in such position control that provides favorable assembling efficiency, and without receiving influence of a variation in a link thickness. SOLUTION: In arrangement between links L1. L2 and L3 adjacent in the chain width direction, there exist first arrangement P in which the links L2 and L3 are opposed from both sides via a front or rear half part of the predetermined link L1 and second arrangement Q in which the link L1 is opposed from only one side to the front or rear half part of the predetermined links L2 and L3. Assuming a clearance between the predetermined link L1 and its both side links L2 and L3 in the first arrangement P as A, and a clearance between the predetermined links L2 and L3 and its one side link L1 in the second arrangement Q as B, A<B is realized.
