The arrangement has key switches with operating keys (1) and fixed contact elements formed as contact surfaces. Movement direction of a dome axially movable tappet (7) runs transverse to a surface of a substrate (3). A switching dome is covered by a common plate-shaped element (8) aligned parallel to the substrate, and the tappet with ends (7') is in direct contact with the plate element, where the ends are turned away from the keys. The tappet is guided in a guide block (9) in an axially movable manner and lies at the plate element and fastened to the substrate with extensions (10).
