A mascara sample dispenser applicator (200) comprises · a mascara applicator (10) comprising a rod (11) and a tip (12) for applying the mascara to the eyelashes of the user; · a receptacle (21) containing a small amount of mascara and said applicator tip, and comprising as a minimum a first opening through which said rod passes and a second opening through which said applicator tip is pushed out by translation of the rod relative to the receptacle to allow the user to apply said mascara.
