PURPOSE: A driving device of LCD display device and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce a color separation phenomenon by decreasing an average chrominance between time-divided subframes. CONSTITUTION: An LCD panel(22) comprises a plurality of unit pixels composed of a first or a third sub pixel. A data driver(24) drives a plurality of datalines. A data conversion unit(30) generates a red, a green, a blue, a cyan color data by using an external red, green, and blue data. A back light(34) comprises at least one light source among light sources consisting of a single fluorescent substance and light sources formed by mixing a plurality of fluorescent substances. A backlight driver(32) successively drives the light sources of the back light. A timing controller(28) controls a gate driver, a data driver and the backlight driver.
