<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for remotely managing document processing devices. <P>SOLUTION: In the remote management system, management data including identification data, state data, and corresponding configuration data relating to each document processing apparatus are communicated, between a management thin client and a plurality of document processing apparatuses (S802). Based on the management data received, displays corresponding to the document processing apparatuses are generated on the management thin client (S804). Selected data corresponding to at least one document processing apparatus which is selected from among the document processing apparatuses displayed on the management thin client.
