<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive surface mount type photodetection unit capable of performing positioning on a predetermined position of a motherboard without generating dispersion. <P>SOLUTION: The photodetection unit is configured by: a first substrate which mounts a light-emitting element; a second substrate which mounts a light-receiving element; and an approximately U-shaped frame body including first and second attachment parts to which the first substrate and the second substrate are respectively attached and a connection part for connecting one-end portions of the first and second attachment parts: wherein first and second slit parts which configure an optical path of the light-emitting element and the light-receiving element are respectively formed on the opposed surfaces of the first and second attachment parts of the frame body and a positioning dowel is formed on the attachment surface of the connection part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
