<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an optical fiber from an ovipositor of a cicada and to prevent the decline of connection work. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable configuring a long-length optical element part 11 includes: at least one optical fiber 3 disposed at the center part; and a pair of tension members 5 extended in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber 3 and disposed on both sides of the optical fiber 3 on a straight line which is parallel to one of two directions orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber 3 and passes through the center of the optical fiber 3. A jacket 7 is composed of a high stiffness jacket material whose Shore D hardness is ≥55, and fine projections 21 are formed on the surface of the jacket 7 along the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber 3.
