PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component storage carrier tape able to cope with a special needs for disposing discoid/tabular components in a vertical position and able to stably hold the component. SOLUTION: The component storage carrier tape 5 includes a first carrier tape material 1 each of which is provided with a first recess 1d, and a second carrier tape material 2 each of which is provided with a second recess 2b shallower than the first recess 1d and also provided with a hole 2d formed in the bottom of the second recess 2b in order to insert a component therein. The first and second carrier tape materials 1 and 2 are laid one upon the other so that the first and second recesses 1d and 2d coincide.
