PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an organosilane of polysulfide, which method enables a high conversion rate in the case of good selectivity, makes unnecessary the use of a solid alkali metal sulfide hydrate, and allows an alkali metal hydroxide in a sulfuration source material. SOLUTION: The method for producing an organosilane represented by general formula I includes reacting a (halogenated organyl)alkoxysilane represented by formula II with a water-containing alkali metal hydrogen sulfide, sulfur, and an alkali metal carbonate in an alcohol. In this method, the molar ratio of the (halogenated organyl)alkoxysilane represented by formula II to the alkali metal hydrogen sulfide is 1:0.40 to 1:0.75 and the molar ratio of the alkali metal hydrogen sulfide to the alkali metal carbonate is 1:0.5 to 1:1.5.
