<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel which is excellent in display quality and in its manufacturing efficiency, and to provide a method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display panel. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display panel includes: an array substrate having a display region; a counter substrate 20 having the display region and placed opposite to the array substrate; a frame shaped sealing material 60 falling outside the display region, overlapping with the array substrate and the counter substrate, joining the array substrate and the counter substrate together, and having an exhaust port formed on a portion thereof so as to extend to the peripheries of the array substrate and the counter substrate; and a liquid crystal layer formed in a region surrounded by the array substrate, the counter substrate, and the sealing material with a dropping injection method.
