摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top emission type organic EL display device having a bright screen by improving the utilization efficiency of light from an organic EL layer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The organic EL layer 22 is formed between a lower electrode 21 and an upper electrode 23. A liquid repellent layer 24 of several nm thicknesses is formed of CFx or siloxane resin on the upper electrode 23. A cylindrical lens 30 extending in the y-direction is formed on the liquid repellent layer 24 by an ink-jet method. The cylindrical lens 30 is formed of acrylic resin or polyimide resin. The pitch of the cylindrical lens 30 in the x-direction is the same as a pixel pitch in the x-direction. Light can be efficiently extracted from the organic EL layer by the cylindrical lens 30, and the organic EL display device having the bright screen can be thereby obtained.
