METHOD AND KIT FOR EVALUATING IMPROVEMENT OF ARTERIOSCLEROSIS AND PREVENTIVE EFFECT, AND METHOD FOR SCREENING SUBSTANCE

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, etc. for evaluating an improvement of arteriosclerosis or a reduction effect of future arteriosclerosis development risk possessed by a test substance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: giving an intake of the test substance to an animal developing arteriosclerosis or an animal having a high future risk of developing arteriosclerosis; comparing the concentration of at least one of ten kinds of marker substances in body fluids of the animal with a reference value; and evaluating the improvement of arteriosclerosis or the reduction effect of future arteriosclerosis development risk possessed by the test substance. A recommended configuration is to calculate the concentration of the marker substance in the body fluids by keeping the marker substance captured by a carrier which has immobilized a substance having affinity for the marker substance thereto.
