<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring device capable of measuring the floor height of a vehicle from the ground with high ease of operation in a short time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The device for measuring the floor height of a vehicle from the ground includes: an optical range finder 3 disposed to irradiate one end of a long base 2 with light parallel to the base 2; and a reflection mirror 4 disposed on the other end of the base 2 with a predetermined direction L from the optical range finder 3 to reflect light irradiated from the optical range finder 3 upward in the perpendicular direction with an inclined angle θ, sets the base 2 on a reference surface G for measurement so that the reflection mirror 4 is located below a point 5 to be measured on the vehicle floor in the perpendicular direction, subtracts the predetermined distance (L) from a measured value of the distance from the optical range finder 3 to the point 5 to be measured through the reflection mirror 4, and reads out, as a ground height (H) of the measured point 5, the distance obtained by adding the height distance (H3) of a reflection point of the reflection mirror 4 from the reference surface G for measurement to the subtracted value.
