VALUABLE MEDIUM MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND VALUABLE MEDIUM MANAGEMENT METHOD

A workload of a person in charge is reduced, who uses a valuable medium management system including a plurality of valuable medium processors with the same processing function for valuable media and a controller provided as a pair with each processor. Each valuable medium processor has a state detecting means for detecting the state of the processor. The controller has an unsupported machine control function for operating other valuable medium processors other than the processor making a pair of the controller itself in addition to a supported machine control function for operating the processor making the pair with the controller itself. The supported machine control function and the unsupported machine control function can be switched over according to a change in the state of the processor detected by the state detecting means.
