<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve antifreeze device of an internal combustion engine capable of reliably suppressing the malfunction of valves due to freezing. <P>SOLUTION: This valve antifreeze device includes: an alcohol concentration sensor for detecting the alcohol concentration of a fuel; a throttle valve disposed in an intake passage; an electric heater for valves (antifreeze means) for suppressing the mal-function of the throttle valve caused when the moisture contained in the exhaust emission is adhered to the throttle valve and frozen; and a start determination means S20 for determining whether the electric heater for valves is started or not. The start determination means S20 changes criteria further to the side where the electric heater is started as the alcoholic concentration detected by the alcoholic concentration sensor is higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
