PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical structure capable of restraining reduction in buckling strength, when the extension stroke of a hydraulic cylinder becomes large. SOLUTION: This cylindrical structure 1 has: an outer cylinder 2 formed as a cylinder body; an inner cylinder 3 formed as a cylinder body and arranged inside the outer cylinder 2, a hydraulic cylinder 4, having a cylinder body 5 and a rod 6 advancing-retreating to the cylinder body 5; having any one of the cylinder body 5 and the rod 6 connected to the outer cylinder 2 inside the outer cylinder 2 and the inner cylinder 3 and having the other connected to the inner cylinder 3; and a rod support part 12 for supporting the rod 6. The rod support part 12 is arranged between the rod 6 and the outer cylinder 2, connected to the rod 6, and supports the rod 6 to the outer cylinder 2, and is movably arranged along the rod 6.
