<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake actuator in which a parking brake function can be manually released even when the brake actuator does not operate owing to power failure. <P>SOLUTION: This brake actuator 1 has: a housing member 2; a piston; an energizing means arranged between the housing member 2 and the piston; a bar member 3 arranged in an inside space of the piston; a cylindrical member 4 connected to the piston; a parking piston 5 installed in the cylindrical member 4; and a parking energizing means 7 arranged between the housing member 2 and the parking piston 5, the brake actuator is constituted so that the cylindrical member 4 is formed with a first recessed part 9 extending in the axial direction of the cylindrical member 4, and a second recessed part 10 extending in the peripheral direction from the first recessed part 9, and a ball 12 is arranged between the cylindrical member 4 and the parking piston 5, and the ball 12 moves to the first recessed part 9 from the second recessed part 10 when rotating the parking piston 5 in the peripheral direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
