PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent increment of current consumption due to the simultaneous operation of a plurality of SA groups. SOLUTION: The semiconductor integrated circuit includes K (K is an integer of 2 or more) pieces of memory cells MC connected to one word line, and a plurality of sense amplifiers SA to which memory cells are connected. The plurality of sense amplifiers are divided into N (N is an integer of 2 or more) pieces of groups, and after sense amplifier circuits of a first group are activated and the prescribed read operation is finished, sense amplifier circuits of second groups activated after the first group sense amplifiers are activated, and the prescribed read operation is performed.
