<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool device for building up a wall member enabling secure and efficient installation work even when the steel wall member has a body having a substantially H-shaped cross section and provided with a male or female joint in end parts of a flange and an upper steel member integrated with at least an upper end of the body and having a smaller cross sectional shape than that of the body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This tool device 10 for building up the wall member can connect the bodies 2 mutually to construct the following wall member 1 for the installed preceding wall member 1 among the wall members 1 by fitting the body side joints mutually by using a plurality of the steel wall members 1 having the body 2 having the substantially H-shaped cross section and provided with the male or female joint 5 (6) in the end parts of the flange 2a and the upper steel member 4 integrated with at least the upper end of the body and having the smaller cross sectional shape than that of the body. This tool device 10 includes a guide joint 18 being detachably attached to the upper steel member 4 on a wall member side and being arranged on an extended line of the body side joint 5 (6) of the wall member along the upper steel member 4 on the wall member side.
