<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that vehicle's vibration causes the surface of an electrolyte in a battery container to undulate, resulting in the overflow of the electrolyte from a vent plug, and that the improvement of the structure of the vent plug sometimes results in clogging due to foreign matters contained in the electrolyte. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Rectangular boxes are disposed on the top of a group of pole plates. The rectangular boxes have holes on the entire surfaces thereof, with a sphere therein. This prevents the waving and overflow of the electrolyte. Since the rectangular boxes are simply structured and have relatively large holes, the foreign matter-caused clogging can be ignored.
