<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a method for manufacturing a wet paper durability promoter as is capable of curtailing a formed amount of a low molecular organic halogen compound generated at the time of manufacturing without decreasing the paper wet strength, and to provide a paper processed article using it. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a polyamide polyamine-epihalohydrin resin aqueous solution, comprising condensation-reaction of an aliphatic dibasic acid and/or a derivative thereof with a polyalkylene polyamine and additionally reaction with a 6-24C monocarboxylic acid, is characterized in that the method furthermore comprises, in a process of addition-reaction of a polyamide polyamine (a) having a viscosity at 30°C in a 50% aqueous solution of 100-500 mPa s to an epihalohydrin, the addition operation of 2-20 mass% of the polyamide polyamine (b) to the epihalohydrin.
