<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle lighting unit can simultaneously irradiate a plurality of irradiation objects with lights of different colors by instantly changing an irradiation color using a small number of semiconductor light sources. <P>SOLUTION: A light source unit 17 provided with a LED having a plurality of colors is installed near a first focus of a reflection mirror, and a slit plate 9 is arranged near a second focus of the reflection mirror 8. A transmission light of the LED is reflected by an ellipse reflection surface 8a of the reflection mirror 8, is passed through the slit 19 and is reflected by a mirror 14. The mirror 14 is reciprocatedly turned by a scanning actuator 4, and a front side of the vehicle is scanned by a spot light reflected by the mirror 14 at high speed. Based on photographing data of an on-vehicle camera and map data of a car navigation system, one or a plurality of LEDs are selected according to spectral reflection ratio characteristic of an object at a front side of the vehicle and scenery, the selected LED is lighted at a phase that the mirror 14 is opposed to the object, and the irradiation color of the lighting unit is switched. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
