<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a user from missing a desired scene by skipping or from viewing a scene unwanted to view even after skipping. <P>SOLUTION: When saving video data 43 by recording video content, a television personal computer 40 extracts a section including a predetermined type of scene from within the video content.
