PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine provided with a variable valve gear capable of more surely changing over a connection state and a non-connection state of two oscillating members, in the internal combustion engine putting the two oscillating members between a drive cam and a valve and changing over the connection state and the non-connection state of the two oscillating members through a pin. SOLUTION: When first control executing demand for changing over to one valve fixing control from both valve variable control is issued, OCV upstream side oil pressure OPu is detected and it is determined whether the OCV upstream side oil pressure OPu is not lower than a reference pressure OPacb. When it is determined that OCV upstream side oil pressure OPu is lower than the reference pressure OPacb, execution of the first control is prohibited (S102-S104). COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
