PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a camera from increasing in size due to the fact that a mechanism for attaching a drive shaft to a lens barrel is incorporated in the camera, even while the mechanism is incorporated in the camera. SOLUTION: In a lens drive mechanism, a transmission shaft 44 to which a piezoelectric element 42 is fixed is slidably attached to a lens holder 31 by pressing by a pressing plate 47 whose rotating shaft is pivotally supported by the lens holder 31 and the pressing member 47 is energized from a direction crossing a direction where the transmission shaft 44 is pressed by the pressing plate 47. Thus, the camera is suppressed from increasing in size due to the fact that the mechanism for attaching the transmission shaft 44 to the lens holder 31 is incorporated in the camera, even while the mechanism is incorporated in the camera.
