<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bench cutter suppressing an urging force applied to a base and achieving reduction of weight. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The bench cutter has a base, a turntable 3 held turnable around a rotation axis on the base, a cutting part being arranged on the turntable 3, supporting a cutting blade, and being capable of coming close to and separating from the turntable 3, and a turntable fixing device 6 arranged on the turntable 3 and capable of fixing the turntable 3 to the base at an arbitrary angle of rotation. The turntable fixing device 6 is provided with a lever 6A shiftable between a first position and a second position, an advancing and retreating part 65 coming close to or separating from the base 3 corresponding to the shifting of the lever 6A between the first position and the second position, an amplifying part for amplifying the shifting amount of the lever 6A and transmitting it to the advancing and retreating part, and an abutting part 67 and a spring 66 arranged on the base side of the advancing and retreating part 65 to abut on the advancing and retreating part 65 and abutting on the base.
