The present invention relates to a spare wheel for a motor vehicle, for mounting directly on the hub of a wheel with a flat tyre, without the need for lifting the vehicle with a jack or the like. For that purpose, the spare wheel (1) comprises a tyre (2) and an inner structure with a bearing (3), spokes (10) that connect the rim (7) to the bearing (3) of the wheel (1), and at least one interlocking device (4) with grooves (12) into which the coupling element (5) attached to the wheel with the flat tyre is inserted. The coupling element (5) slides in the interlocking device (4) after a complete rotation of the wheel, naturally lifting the vehicle in the area of the wheel with the flat tyre, and is axially secured thereto by a locking system (11).
