PURPOSE: A method for naming image data files in a digital camera or mobile phone is provided to classify words related video data according to filed and create a file with an inputted file name. CONSTITUTION: A method for naming image data files in a digital camera or mobile phone is as follows. The user selectively inputs words for each field. A file name of video data saved based on the selected field is created. The recently used word is preferentially shown to the user. The user easily inputs the necessary words using a direction key and a selection key. The user registers the new words.
