<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED module which can emit light that diffuses in a specific direction. <P>SOLUTION: The LED module A includes an LED chip 2 and translucent resin 3, which covers the LED chip 2 and has an outgoing surface 3a bulging toward the irradiation side and in a z direction, in which an irradiation axis Ir of the LED chip 2 extends. In this case, the outgoing surface 3a is a curved surface which is obtained by moving a curve 32 bulging toward the irradiation side and in the z direction on a flat surface containing the irradiation axis Ir and is constituted of the z direction and the y direction, along a curve 31 which bulges toward the irradiation side and in the z direction on a flat surface containing the irradiation axis Ir and constituted of the z direction and the x direction.
