PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterior wall structure of a building which prevents the generation of mold and algae even on a coating film in the vicinity of a sealing joint. SOLUTION: In the exterior wall structure of a building where a sealing material is placed in exterior wall joints, the sealing material is made to contain a fungi proof and/or algae proof agent, and a coating material is applied to the exterior wall surface containing the sealing material. The sealing material contains added components such as plasticizers such as phthalate esters, and/or oxygen-curable unsaturated compounds such as drying oil, and preferably the coating material is made to contain the fungi proof and/or algae proof agent.
